Dear Bromley,
No. 25
F.R. BERGHAUS, EFT.
(Gerba. Schrřive)..
I have now heard from the Foreign Trade Dept., but in view of information in their possession, we shall be well advised not to
establish any business with the above fira. Under the circum-
stances, I am of course not proceeding with the correspondence
sent over.
Likely now promises settlement to-morrow. At the Foment we
are still here, but expect to entirely clear out in the morning. I note your remarks sone time ago re Mok, and hope you have written him, and I shall be glad to have a copy of the letter.
I enclose copy of a letter from H.M. & Co., which has just arrived; I shall of course have a chat with Billinghurst before replying to same. Mr. Chu being away may account for the delay in their replying to our order for Shangtung.
No further news at the moment.
Yours sincerely,
(signed) L.H. Jenkins.
Kind regards,
